2008 여수국제아트페스티벌 큐레이터 공개모집

여수시가 작년에 있었던 국제아트페스티벌을 좀더 변화된 모습으로 하기 위해 추진위원회를 구성하여 아래와 같이 큐레이터 공개 모집을 하고자 합니다.
많은 관심과 참여를 기다립니다.

  2012 여수세계박람회 개최 도시로서 국내∙외 역량 확대와 시민의 예술적 수준향상 및 문화도시 발전 기반 구축을 위한「2008 여수국제아트페스티발」개최에 따른 행사 추진을 위해 역량있는 큐레이터를 아래와 같이 공개 모집합니다.

1. 행사 개요
   ○ 행사명 : 2008 여수국제아트페스티벌 (격년제 개최)
   ○ 기  간 : 2008년 8월 30일(토) ∼ 9월 18일(목) (20일간)
   ○ 예  산 : 15,000만원(오픈비, 홍보비, 체제비, 작품운송비, 인건비 등 포함)
   ○ 주  최 : 여 수 시
   ○ 주  관 : 2008 여수국제아트페스티벌 추진위원회

2. 전시 기본 구성(안)
   ○ 주  제 : 2012 여수세계박람회 주제와 부합되는 내용
   ○ 내  용 : 메인 전시 - 국내․외 회화 250작품
                  특별 전시 - 차후 협의
   ○ 작가 기본 배정안
      ▷ 국외 작가 50명
        - 10개국 이상 (1개국 당 5명씩, 1인 1작품)
           유럽권 3개국 / 아시아권 4개국 / 아메리카권 3개국
        - 국가별로 대표 1명 초청 (왕복항공료 및 국내 체제비 주최측 제공)
      ▷ 국내 작가 200명
        - 지역별 균형 선정

3. 응모 방법
   - 응모조건 : 최근 3년 이내 국내외 전시 기획 실적이 있는 자
   - 제출서류 : 전시계획서(양식은 자유) A4 5매 이내 1부 / 큐레이터 프로필 1부
   - 제출기간 : 2008년 5월 8일(목), 오후 5시까지

   - 선정방법 : 응모대상자 중 추진위원회에서 협의 후 2명을 선정(별도연락)하여 5월 16일(금) 오후 4시에 공개토론회를 거쳐 최종 1명을 결정함.

Open recruitment of 2008 Yeosu International Art Festival Curator

Following the host of the 2008 Yeosu International Art Festival to expand their domestic and
foreign capacity as the host city of the 2012 Yeosu World Expo, and to be the foundation of
improving the artistic awareness of citizens and developing a cultural city, we will hold an
open recruitment for curator to promote relevant events.
1. Summary of Event
○ Name of event: 2008 Yeosu International Art Festival (held every two years)
○ Period: August 30(Sat) ∼ September 18(Thu), 2008 (duration of 20 days)
○ Budget: 150,000,000 won (including costs relating to the opening costs, promotion costs,
staying costs, costs of works delivering, labor costs and others)
○ Auspices: Yeosu City
○ Supervision: 2008 Yeosu International Art Festival Promotion Committee
2. Exhibition Basic Composition (draft)
○ Theme: Contents complying with themes of 2012 Yeosu World Expo.
○ Contents: Main exhibition 250 domestic and foreign works of paint.
Special exhibition later discussion
○ Arrangement of artists
▷ 50 domestic and foreign artists
- More than 10 countries (5 people for one country, one work per person)
3 European countries / 4 Asian countries / 3 countries in the American region
- Inviting 1 person for each country (round trip airfare and domestic staying costs paid by
hosting city)
▷ Domestic artist: 200 people
- Regional balanced selection
3. Application Method
- Application conditions: A person who has the experience of holding exhibitions domestic
and overseas within the last 3 years.
- Documents for submission: Exhibition plan (form is unlimited.) A4-size 5 or less papers/
profile as curator.
- Submission deadline: May 8(Thu), 2008 by 17:00.
-Reception method: Only applications via e-mail will be accepted ( borumdal69@hanmail.net ).
-Selection method: Promotion committee will select 2 applicants and make a decision on 1
applicant through an open forum held on May 16(Fri) at 16:00.
